I was playing ping pong with my stepson a few days ago... but wait, let me explain something first.
I've never been an athletic person. That is, in fact, the understatement of the day. When I was a kid playing t-ball, I'd beg them to just let me be out, but no, they'd keep me swinging that silly bat trying to hit that tiny ball instead of the pipe for HOURS. Every other kid would take a nap while they were waiting for me to finally make contact. And the law of averages says even I would eventually make contact.
My mom and I used to play raquet ball sometimes and we loved it. We tried tennis a few times, but we spent all our time chasing the ball. At least in raquetball, the ball is confined to a relatively small area, meaning it can't go far.
Which brings me back to my original statement. My stepson and I were playing ping pong the other day. The game basically went like this:
I hit the ball.
Chris hits it back.
I swing and miss and have to chase the ball down.
At least I got in my exercise for the day.
