  • Mary Ann King, 77, of Helena, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at her home. Mrs. King was born Sept. 14, 1934 at Rondo to the late Paul A. York and the late Laura Wooten Motsinger. She was a retired administrative secretary for the Phillips County Health Unit and a member of the First Baptist Church in Helena.
    She leaves her husband, Billy Bonner King Jr.; a son, Billy B. King III of Helena; a daughter, Tammy S. Leifer (Jay) of Beebe; three grandchildren, James “Jimbo” Doyle, Jr., Madison Anne Doyle and Wyatt Edward King; and a sister, Georgia Hayes of Nashville, Tenn.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Services for Mary Ann King will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena. Brother Cliff Bernard will officiate.
    Pallbearers are Brian King, Sam King, Ken Woods, Chris Brocato, Billy Ray Brocato, and Ed Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Hornbeak, Terry Hornbeak, Jimbo Doyle and Wyatt King. Two additional honorary pallbearers “in loving memory” are Joel Wayne Scaife and “Rudder” Michael Williams.
