  • Phillips County Sheriff Ronnie White has yet to file fugitive warrants into state and national crime databases — despite a judge's order two months ago that he do so.
Sheriff Ronnie White told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that his office is working to get the warrants ready to enter into the Arkansas Crime Information Center. He said the process of getting names, birth dates and physical descriptions of those listed as wanted "takes time."
Judge Richard Proctor issued an order in late May that the sheriff enter fugitive warrants into the databases that alerts authorities when a person is wanted. Proctor has said he issued the order because of newspaper reports that the sheriff had a policy of not entering any felony failure-to-appear warrants in the databases.
    Proctor declined comment.
