  • Funeral services for Mary Richardson-Huggins will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 27 at the First Baptist Church at Pine City. Dr. John W. Williams will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, July 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Pine City Cemetery.
    Mary Richardson-Huggins was born Sept. 28, 1924 to the late Rev. Samuel Sr. and Sallie Anges Richardson-Williams. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis. She worked as a nurse for many years after her retirement she moved to Holly Grove where she joined the St. Mark Whole Truth Holiness Church.
    She married the late Joe Huggins and to this union no children were born.
    A sister, Carrie Tyler (Milton Sr.) and five brothers, Rev. Samuel (Catherine) Williams, Rev. Manuel Williams, George Williams, Charles Williams and Roosevelt Williams all proceed her in death. She departed this life on July 17, 2012 at the home of her loving sister and caretaker, Katherine Hayden.
    She leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, Dr. John W. (Wanda) Williams of Toledo, Ohio; six sisters, Earnestine Snell of Indianapolis, Ind., Katherine Hayden of Holly Grove, Elymra Morris of Memphis, Myrtle (Austin) Johnson of St. Louis, Ange s (Levi Sr.) Johnson of St. Louis, Johnnie B. (William) Paris of Chicago; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
