Christy Murray-Obit

Funeral services for Christy Murray will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at the Pleasant Grove  M.B. Church at Trenton. Rev. Kenioun Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Blackton Cemetery, Blackton.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.

Christy Renee Murray was born March 3, 1979 to the union of Sadie Mae Robinson and Prentice Lee Murray. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church. On the evening of June 4, 2012, the Lord decided to expand his garden and called Christy home to give her rest away from her pain and suffering.

Christy was preceded in death by her loving mother, Sadie Robinson and her brother, Wallace Robinson, her maternal grandparents, Tommy and Arelia Hamilton her paternal grandparents, Fred and Mamie Murray, uncles, Clint Hamilton, Fred Murray Jr., Larry Murray, Jasper Murray, Curtis Murray and a niece, Lataisha Robinson.

She leaves to mourn her death, her loving husband, Willie Murray; her loving daughter, Sharkeia Nikayla Murray, both of Marvell; her father, Prentice Murray, of Vernon, Texas; six brothers, Donald Robinson of Kansas City, Kan. Melvin Robinson of Marvell, Antonio Robinson of Minneapolis, Minn.; Tracy Murray of Marvell, Darius Murray of Bakersfield, Calif. and Prentice Murray Jr., of Vernon, Texas; six sisters, Patricia (Gary) Tate, Carolyn (Tyrone) Robinson, Diane Robinson and Sharon Robinson, all of Marvell, Hattie Murray and Chantler Murray, both of Bakersfield; six uncles, Arthur Hamilton, Bobby Hamilton, Herman Murray, Anthony Murray, Marty Murray and Ronnie Murray; eight aunts, Pearl Sinclair, Martha Hamilton, Jennie Mitchell, Vernell Murray, Genova Murray, Shirley Murray, Arlene and Lynette Murray; 21 nieces and nephews, James Jr., Kent, Kentrice, Melvin Jr., DeAlexander, Ashley, Quinesha, Khynhyettia, Darterrius, Tamia, Darvell, Antonio Jr., Ahkeem, Moesha, Contrail, Traveil, Sharien, Devin, Xavier, Sharvez;  and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
