Providing an evening of unforgettable beauty and grace, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present a performance on Saturday, May 5, as part of the Warfield Music Festival in Helena-West Helena.
Sponsored by the Delta Cultural Center, this event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Lily Peter Auditorium at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) and is a Mid-America Alliance sponsored concert.
The show will draw on elements from the flowing lines of Chinese calligraphy to the thundering motion of the martial arts. Nai-Ni is one of the very few established Asian-American choreographers who melds the dynamic freedom of American modern dance with the stoic discipline of the Chinese classical arts.  The New York Times has described their performing “like endlessly proliferating forces of cosmic energy.”
