Funeral services for Marva Jean Bobo will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at New Light M.B. Church. 

 



Funeral services for Marva Jean Bobo will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at New Light M.B. Church.  Rev. Edward Wade will officiate the service.  Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.



Marva Jean Bobo was born Jan. 16, 1946 to Louise Bobo and Eula Mae Moore in Marvell.



Her late grandmother, Cherry Bobo, raised Marva Jean.



Marva Jean received her education from the Marvell Public School System.  Marva Jean worked at various places in the Helena-West Helena area – the Arkansas Highway Department. Isle of Capri Casino, Helena Regional Medical Center and Helena Chemical Co. to name a few.



Marva Jean enjoyed nurturing her flowers and her children. She was a very beautiful person with a glowing smile who showed love to all.  Marva Jean accepted Christ at an early age in Turner.



Marva Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Louises Bobo and Eula Mae Moore, two sisters, Elizabeth and Betty and a granddaughter, Markeila Hawkins.



 Marva leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Daniel Sullivan, Mark Sullivan, Christopher Ward and Brian Ward; a daughter, Kimberly Robinson Shields; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, four sisters, Ethel (Narvis) Gibson, Thelma Taylor, Melba Hampton and Audrey Jean Wright; four brothers, Alvin Moore, E.C. Moore Jr., Edwin Moore and Eric Charday) Kirkland; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
