Lennie Johnson, 71, of Crumrod, passed away Feb. 16, 2012 in Helena.

 



Lennie Johnson, 71, of Crumrod, passed away Feb. 16, 2012 in Helena. He was born July 17, 1940 in Wabash to the late Elbert and Rebecca Hightower Johnson. Lennie attended school there until his parents relocated the family to Snow Lake.



 



Lennie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the New Canaan M.B. Church. He later moved his membership to the Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Snow Lake. Lennie was employed 22 years for J.L. Britt Farms Inc. in Snow Lake and later worked for several years for Griffin Farms in Elaine until he retired.



 



His parents, 3 brothers, James Lee Hightower, Dave Johnson and Jesse Johnson and 2 sisters, Mary Jane Campbell and Earnestine Johnson, precede him in death.



He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Crystal Johnson of Crumrod; 5 sons, Lyndon Johnson and John Rattler of Helena-West Helena, Gerry Johnson (Cordelia) of Irving, Texas, Lennie Johnson Jr. (Topeka) of Albuquerque, N.M., Eric Johnson (Michelle) of Hot Springs; 6 daughters, Cynthia Winters (Larry) of California, Regina Conley (Tyrone) of Tunica, Miss., Dorisena Johnson, Ronda Johnson, Kimberly Johnson of Helena-West Helena, Lucky Graham of Illinois; a stepsister, Gloria Chambers of Snow Lake; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 stepchildren, 7 step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Kincaid Funeral Services. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 in Kincaid Funeral Services Auditorium.
