We're looking to go in-depth and do a story about the man who inspired Mark Twain to create one of America's most popular fictional characters; Huckleberry Finn.

History tells us Sam Clemens modeled Huck Finn after his childhood chum Tom Blankenship, but it's a mystery as to what kind of life Blankenship led or had after his days with Sam Clemens came to an end. We know Blankenship's sister, Elizabeth "Beckey" Blankenship is interred at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal, Mo., but it's uncertain if she still has relatives around today that may hold answeres to what exactly happened to Tom.
