The Crossroads Coalition Board of Directors announced on Dec. 15 the appointment of Heather Maxwell, former director of programs and development, as its new executive director.
According to 2011 Board Chairman, LeRoy Dangeau, “Heather has been serving as interim executive director since May and has done an excellent job managing the day-to-day operations and providing leadership for program implementation. She is very aware of and involved with regional and community issues relevant to our mission and has the vision and capacity to lead the Crossroads Coalition and east Arkansas toward progress and success.  The board of directors saw no reason to look elsewhere and voted unanimously to name her as the new executive director.”
Maxwell joined the Crossroads Coalition in January 2010.  As the organization’s director of programs and development, Maxwell’s community outreach efforts focused on creating awareness of the critical issues impacting our communities, businesses, organizations and generating interest and involvement all across the region.
An east Arkansas native, Maxwell grew up in Randolph County and graduated from Arkansas State University.  Maxwell lives in Marion, with her husband, Donnie, and their four children.
