Celebrating 26 years this Oct. 6-8, the King Biscuit Blues Festival has thrived for nearly three decades because of the music…AND the volunteers.
Volunteers are the true backbone of the longevity and success of the King Biscuit Blues Festival. Since the early, humble beginnings of the event, people from throughout the community have given their time and their energy to help make KBBF the world-renowned festival it is.
Again this year, festival organizers are seeking people willing to give of their time and stand as ambassadors of the community to welcome and greet visitors from around the world.
This year, willing individuals can contact the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce to sign up to work at locations throughout the festival, including the information tent, the blues symposium, beer tents and at children’s activities. Those interested can contact the Chamber at 870-338-8327 to add their names to the list of volunteers.
Volunteering comes with perks. Each festival volunteer receives an official t-shirt, an invitation to the post-festival volunteer bash, and the possibility of being named a KBBF volunteer of the year. Each individual committee names a committee volunteer of the year and then an overall festival volunteer of the year is chosen.
Be a part of one of the best blues festivals in the world – volunteer for the 26th annual King Biscuit Blues Festival. Please phone 870-338-8327 for more information. For more information on this year’s KBBF, log on to www.kingbiscuitfestival.com.
