Former Sen. Blanche Lincoln has joined Entergy’s Corp.’s board of directors more than two months after losing her re-election bid in Arkansas.
The company announced on Monday that Lincoln was elected to its board. Lincoln is a Democrat who served two terms in the U.S. Senate before being defeated by Republican John Boozman in her re-election bid in November.
Entergy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer J. Wayne Leonard praised the election of Lincoln and said her advice and counsel will be invaluable for the board. Lincoln said she’s looking forward to serving on the board.
Entergy has 2.7 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. It has annual revenues of more than $10 billion and more than 15,000 employees.
