A man who lives in the 300 block of North Sixth Street reported that someone fired shots into his home on Nov. 22. Three bullet holes were found in the back of the house,  two on the side and one in a patio door.
The man told police that he and his wife have three small children.

A woman who lives in the 500 block of Roseland Drive reported to police on Wednesday, Nov. 24 that she spotted a black male wearing a black M&M jacket take a weed eater from her neighbor’s storage shed.
The woman told police that the young man was riding a red bicycle and was carrying the Weed-eater. Police arrested the suspect a short time later.

A window was reported broken out at Handworks at 227 Cherry St. on Thanksgiving Day. The owner of the shop and police went to the scene and the window was boarded up.

A woman who lives in the 200 block of North Fifth Street reported to police that someone stole some important papers and registration from her vehicle.

A man told police that a residence he was moving out of in the 600 block of East Garland was broken into. The only thing missing is some new window blinds.

A woman who was moving out of a house in the 200 block of Quarles Lane reported to police last week that someone broke out a window and entered the residence. Missing are several items of clothing. The burglar also trashed the house.

A woman who lives in the 200 block of North Eighth Street told police Friday, Nov. 26 that when she returned from shopping she discovered that her storm door had been shot with what appeared to be buckshot. Shots also were fired at a picture window and one corner of the residence. Shotgun shell casings were discovered near the roadway at the residence.

Calvin Holder reported to police Saturday, Nov. 27 that a fire was set in a window at 234 North Sam St. The fire is believed to be the work of an arsonist.

Dennis Delk of Lexa reported to police Sunday, Nov.28 that while he and his wife were attending church at Garland and Third Street someone entered his vehicle and stole a GPS and an I-Pod from the vehicle.
 
A man who lives in the 100 block of South Eighth Street told police on Saturday, Nov.27 that while he was shopping someone entered his house and stole a sawed off shotgun, a regular shotgun, a .22 automatic and a flat-screen TV.


Fire reports

Helena West Helena firefighters responded to a duplex fire in Market Alley around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22. No information was available as to how much damage was done by the fire.

Firefighters also answered a trash fire alarm on Monday, Nov. 22 on Missouri Street.
