According to Paula Oliver, Main Street Helena director, Solomon House and Magnolia Hill will be decorated for Christmas “with all the charm of the 1900s. Both homes are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
You are encouraged to tour Magnolia Hill with its magnificent fireplace mantles, its architectural highlights designed by George Barber, noted architect of the late Victorian Period, and peek in at an original Victorian bathroom on the second floor.
Visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for Helena’s food Pantry for families that are less fortunate and help them enjoy a Merry Christmas.
Solomon House is filled with antiques and plenty of gifts that are not “the same ole of the past giving.”  With a 20 percent discount will be offered during the open house, shoppers can surely pick something “unusual”, “special”, and “unforgettable.”
A special Christmas party special will be available.
During the tour, enjoy snacks, wine and Christmas cheer before attending the concert. For those who can play the piano, enjoy a little caroling at Solomon House on the parlor’s baby grand.
Carriage Square is located at the corner of Perry and Columbia streets.
