Gregory Joseph Padula, 88, of Bossier City, La., died Nov. 11, 2010. He was a dedicated board member of Holy Angels Residential Facility, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a life member of the Knights of Columbus, and a retired major in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed story telling, cooking, gardening and fishing, but mostly he loved life and people.
His loving wife, Marjorie Goodenough Padula, whom he married June 1, 1946; his parents, Frank and Anna Padula; his sisters, Angelina Padula, Mary Padula, Rosemary P. Burnop and Katie P. Deleo preceded him in death.
He leaves his loving wife, Mollie Grice Padula, married Dec. 19, 1980, and her children and family; his children, Marjorie Hall (John), Greg (Janet), Alan (June) and Timothy; his sister, Christine Padula; his grandchildren; and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.
A celebration of his life was held Nov. 14, 2010 at Hillcrest Funeral Home; Haughton, La. Internment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
