Post Commander Clifford Chamness (left) accepted new U.S. and Arkansas flags that have been flown over the state capitol to replace retired flags at the American Legion R.L. Kitchens Post 41, from Virginia and Caroline Smith (center), students at the Arkansas Virtual Academy Charter School. Their grandfather, LeVaughn Smith, also a member of the Post was there for the presentation. The girls marked completion of a school project by donating the flags, in observation of Veterans Day, to replace older, faded flags at the American Legion Hut. They also got a lesson in flag folding from Commander Chamness.
