Funeral services Sarah Burchett-McConney, 49, will be 2 p.m. Saturday June 26 at the P.L.M.D. District Center. Rev. E.C.  Goldsberry will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Beulah Cemetery in Oneida. Visitation will be held tonight from 5 to 7 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. 
 Sarah Burchett-McConney was born on March 6, 1961 Helena to Callie Mae Burchett and the late James Burchett Jr.  Sarah confessed her life to Christ at the Beulah M.B. Church at an early age.
Sarah graduate from Barton High School in 1979. After high school she attended the University of Central Arkansas and graduated with a BSE in education in 1983.
Sarah always had a love for children. She worked as a special education teacher in De Queen, the North Carolina Public School System and Central High School until 2007. She also served as a Sunday School teacher at Beulah M.B. Church until her health failed.
In 1989 Sarah married William McConney and to this union a son was born.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memory, a son, William McConney; her mother, Mrs. Callie Mae Burchett; four brothers James (Ellen) Burchett III, Michael (Audrey Sue) Burchett Sr., Ricky (Carletta) Burchett and Marcelius (Erica) Burchett; three sisters, Shelvey (Herman) Hunter, Joann (Morris) Martin and James Ella Moore; an aunt, Ruby Lee Newell; great aunts, Lucy Childs, Dorothy Banks; a great-uncle, Charlie Holemon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She also leaves three special friends, Mr. O.J., Ms. Gatlin, and Clarence Smith.
