A 40-year-old Proctor, Okla. man was arrested Sunday and charged with first degree battery after he allegedly fired shots at the feet of Kyle Stoner.

 

A 40-year-old Proctor, Okla. man was arrested Sunday and charged with first degree battery after he allegedly fired shots at the feet of Kyle Stoner.
Christopher Jones, 40, of Proctor, Okla. was charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Highway 44 near Mellwood.
The incident allegedly occurred after Jones’ dad Raymond Jones was reportedly attacked on the Mississippi River levee by Stoner and Matt Inman.
At 9:50 p.m. the Phillips County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the Wabash area in reference to someone being shot. Stoner told Deputy John Rattler that he had been involved in a fight with a man and the man pulled out a gun and fired several shots at his feet. One bullet struck his left foot and the other hit his right leg.
Rattler and Deputy Bennie Daniels found the two men that were involved in the fight. They were identified as Jones and his father, Raymond Jones.
The deputies learned that Christopher Jones was in the yard at his father's home in when he saw his father and the two younger men begin fighting on the levee. The two men got into a vehicle and drove off. 
Jones and his father got into their vehicle and followed the men to find out why they had attacked.
Jones flashed his lights and managed to get the two men to stop on Highway 44. At this point, another fight broke out, this time between all four. Jones told deputies he went to his truck and got a .22 caliber rifle and shot three times at Stoner's feet to stop him from attacking his father. Stoner and Inman got back into their vehicle and left.
Stoner was taken to Helena Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Christopher Jones’ bond was set at $15,000.
