Funeral services for Mary Edmond Glover 99, of Jacksonville and formerly of the Southland Community will be held Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at Springlake M.B. Church at noon with the Rev. R.P. Taylor officiating. 
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel at 417 Walnut St. in Helena.  Burial will be in the Springlake Cemetery in the Southland Community.
Mary Edmond Glover was born on Dec. 24, 1909 to Kentchum and Annie Lee Edmond in Macon, Miss.  She was the second of 10 children born to this union.
Mary and her family moved to the Southland community when she was very young.   She accepted Christ as her savior when she was very young and became a member of Springlake M.B. Church where she served as an usher for many years.
Mary went home to be in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mose Glover, two brothers and six sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Willie Jackson of Jacksonville; a stepson, Lawrence Glover of Madison, Wis.; a sister, Willie Lou Linson of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Helen Vance of Jacksonville, Katherine and Doris Jackson of Helena-West Helena, Mary Dell Boswell of Milwaukee, Willie Bell Moore of Glenbernie, Md., Jessie D. Jackson, of Chicago and Cynthia Gilliam of San Diego; 31 great grand children; 90 great-great grandchildren; 10 great-great-great grandchildren; a special goddaughter, Lillian Lovelady; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
