Regional youth soccer tournaments around the country are setting the field for the national championships to be played at North Little Rock July 22-27.
The US Youth Soccer championships to be played at Burns Park will include teams from each of four regions.
Teams from Texas filled 10 of the 12 spots from the Southern region, which includes Arkansas. North Carolina took the other two spots from the South in games played at Raleigh, N.C.
Other regionals were played in Hawaii, Illinois and Maine.
The championships will be played on a neutral field: no team from Arkansas made any of the finals or semifinals in regional play.
