Area law enforcement officials hit the streets.

Joshua Turner, 22, of 3153 Phillips County 300 Road, Helena-West Helena has been arrested and charged with filing a false police report, reckless driving, running a stop sign, operating an ATV on a highway, fleeing,  careless and prohibited driving, and failure to pay registration on the ATV.
Phillips County Deputy Sheriff James Mayfield pursued a black, four-wheeler on Highway 49 than continued west on county road 300. The driver continued to drive reckless and sped away during the pursuit. He jumped off the four-wheeler and fled the scene.
Turner later went to the Phillips County Sheriff’s Department and reported the four-wheeler stolen.
His bond was set at $5,000.
In another unrelated case, Steve King, 65, of Helena-West Helena has been charged with domestic battering.
On May 12 he allegedly assaulted his wife, Sarah King.
King was arrested on Monday, June 23 and his bond was set at $50,000.
Helena-West Helena Police are investigating an attempted break-in in the 100 block of Sacred Heart Drive that occurred Friday.
When the occupant arrived home, she discovered that the front door lock was damaged.
A woman who lives in the 700 block of Pecan St. reported a break-in at her house late last week.
The back door to her home was kicked in and the house was ransacked and an antique 12-gauge shotgun with a single barrel and a wood handle is missing.
