A weekend wreck in Phillips County takes a life and leaves another injured. 

A Detroit, Mich. man lost his life in a one-car accident around 1 p.m. Monday, on Highway 85, two miles north of Oneida.
Robert L. Robinson, 50, was traveling north in a 1998 Ford when he apparently lost control, ran off the roadway, and attempted to correct to the left. He over corrected and the car ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was killed when he was ejected from the vehicle.
Injured in the accident was Robinson’s passenger, Joe Jones, 70, of Snow Lake. He was transported to Helena Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arkansas State Police Cpl. Darrell Winston investigated the accident.
Helena-West Helena firefighters emergency crews assisted at the accident scene, which happened near Charles Harris’ shop on Highway 85.
