Tynell Thomas is recovering at home after recieving a shotgun wound to the head Tuesday.

Helena-West Helena police are investigating the shooting of Tynell Thomas that occurred just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Capt. Clyde Murphy, Thomas reported that he was standing on the corner of Balboa St, when he heard some shots and felt blood on his head. Thomas went home and had someone take him to Helena Regional Medical Center by personal vehicle.
Thomas was treated at the hospital and released.
Detective Roy Covington said he understood that small shot, referred to as “rat shot” apparently struck Thomas.
Cpl. Tommy Bivens is investigating the shooting incident.
